The GTALUG Community Affairs Group was established by the GTALUG executive in 2010 to address the concern that the Linux community of the Greater Toronto Area did not have a unified community voice. We meet monthly to discuss the changes in our community and political landscape as well as to discuss the concerns of our membership.
We operate…
- Through education and support of our elected representatives and government officials, we involve ourselves in their decision making making processes.
- In education and support of ours and neighbouring communities, we encourage an active and positive role in the local, provincial and federal politics.
- Finally, through our presence in the community and our participation with government, we act as a conduit for information to flow from the government to our members, and back.
